"1-2-3 BOOKS IN THE HOME LENDING LIBRARY" PROGRAM IN USA & JAMAICA
LIFE has provided picture books, reading books and level readers for students to take home and read during the week. The students must return the books and present an oral, written or pictorial description to the literacy teacher of what the book was about.
LITERACY WORKS: WORKSHOPS FOR PARENTS IN USA AND JAMAICA
After multiple school holidays and the summer vacation, reading skills predictably regress. LIFE is committed to stopping this deterioration with its successful "Stop the Summer Slide" program. Parents and family members attend workshops before school holidays and the summer vacation to learn how to read to their children and receive books.
"Sing Talk And Read" (STAR): PRE-K & K IN USA AND JAMAICA
The STAR program, aimed at pre-K & K students, increases language and neurolinguistic development through different modalities of expression including talking, singing, reading and picture identification. In addition, the STAR program emphasizes non-cognitive skills including social behaviors, self control and manners
